Registration & Payment
Can I change my registration from the free registration to the ‘Freedom Pass’ (€15 registration fee)?
It is possible to change your registration until 4 May 2025. Please send us a short email to tourdurchwien@gmail.com and we will change your registration. Please note that you will have to pay the registration fee of €15 via Paypal.
I don’t have a Paypal account – is there another way to pay the registration fee for the ‘Freedom Pass’?
Unfortunately, there is currently no alternative payment option. However, we do offer the option of paying the registration fee in cash at the ‘Tour of Vienna’ opening ceremony on Friday, 11 April 2025, from 6:30 pm (Beer Cellar, Marxergasse 25, 1030 Vienna).
Stages
Where can I see which stages are to be driven?
The stages for 2025 are published in the stage overview. Make sure to always use the latest version of the route, as small adjustments were made to the stages right up until the start of the “Tour durch Wien”.
What time do the stages need to be ridden in order to count for the results?
The rules define specific time windows for the regular stages and the night stage. What matters for the classification is the start time of your stage or segment.
Can I ride multiple segments within a single Strava activity?
Yes – you can start your recording when you begin riding and stop it at the end. All TdW segments within the activity will be automatically detected.
How are my activities counted for the rankings?
You need to log in to the “Tour durch Wien” website, connect your account with Strava, and upload each of your activities – here’s the step-by-step guide.
When uploading an activity, I get the error “Fehler: Aktivität nicht gefunden / Error: Activity not found.” What should I do?
Please check if your Strava activity is set to public. If it is, try disconnecting and reconnecting Strava on the Tour durch Wien website. If the issue persists, feel free to contact us.
My activity was imported on the Tour durch Wien website – but the stage or a segment (TT, KQoC) is not recognized. Why?
There can be several reasons for this:
- Make sure your Strava activity is set to public.
- Make sure that the map visibility restrictions at the beginning and end of your ride do not overlap with a segment. (You can adjust this under “Edit Map Visibility” on Strava.)
- Make sure you followed the correct route.

Technical Issues
There’s a technical problem – what can I do?
Here you’ll find an overview of current technical issues and their status, including possible solutions.

Other
Is it possible to ride stages together as a group?
The TdW team is currently planning the following group rides:
- Before the start of the tour through Vienna on 30 March and 6 April on stages from 2024 to get to know each other and warm up
- During the tour through Vienna, the night stage on 28 April and 8 May (at 22:15 in each case)
You are also welcome to set up a group yourself and ride the stage together. The WhatsApp group can also help you to find fellow riders and arrange to meet up with others.
