What is planned for the Tour durch Wien 2025 ?

R

The geographical mapping remains the same as last year to keep orientation simplified:

  • Week 1 – East
  • Week 2 – North
  • Week 3 – West
  • Week 4 – South + Central

The motivation to always improve our stages continues for TdW 2025. We are already increasing the number of stages and reducing the respective distance at the same time. We’re making minor alterations to some stages, but also huge changes to others nce again, we look to expand out further and explore new areas.

TdW 2025 Night Stage

We’ll taken the seven general stages from this year’s event and break them up into smaller segments. Doing this will allow riders the freedom to break up a long stage into 2-4 shorter stages. This will benefit those who have time restraints, feel their fitness level is not yet high enough and for those who participated in our Classic event in 2023. Those seeking a longer ride can ride several stages in a row, completing the region in as little as one or two days.

Further improvements to stages

TdW 2025 Night Stage will undergo some minor route alterations. We will also revisit making the stage competitive again. As with the 2024 edition, we will continue to offer the Night stage as a group ride so that participants can complete the stage and collect points in a friendlier, social setting.

Revised Points Structure

We introduced an achievement related points system last year to enable participants to feel they were achieving something for completing stages, when compared to previous year’s where the fastest riders finishing in the top 10 gain the only points available, but they ride less than 25% of the TdW event. The aim was, and is still, to narrow the competitive gap and encourage all riders to complete all stages to gain maximum points, or, run risk slipping down the leaderboard.

We will still reward the fastest riders with top finisher points. Overall, the fastest rider completing all stages will be the winner of TdW 2025.
